Thanks

Im going to start this blog post with a flash back to 1996. I was 6 years old loving the good life... finger painting in school, eating rocks from the playground and taking daily naps. This one particular day, i must of have had a excess amount of dunkaroos ( i was a master lunch trader) and came back from recess with an upset stomach that was doing backflips. I sat at my wooden desk and the queasiness moved its way through my body. I marched over to the teachers desk and told her that i had a weird feeling in my stomach. She told me not to worry and that she would call my dad to come pick me up. I made my way to the separate hallway that was home to all the jackets, hats and boots of my twenty classmates. In a timely fashion, my body started to make a noise similar to the one that comes on when you start a garburator. I had no idea my insides could hold so much fluid... This particular day was one of the coldest Calgary had seen all winter. Kids in my class were dressed from head to toe in winter gear to stay warm and i had just managed to cover every square inch of the coat hallway with my lunch. My father showed up and was faced with a small dilemma. His son was sick, he needed to get back to work but twenty young six year olds now had no jackets to get home in. He picked me up, threw all of the dirty jackets in garbage bags and drove home. With super man like speed and agility he made sure i was ok, cleaned all the jackets, returned back to the classroom to give the jackets back to my classmates and still managed to return back to work in time to volunteer with the basketball team.

My parents have sacrificed  time, money and effort into making sure i can succeed to the best of my abilities. They have been unbelievably supportive of the choices that i have made with my life and sometimes I forget to thank them for all the sacrifices they make to make sure I can do what i do. Without they're love and support, I am sure that I would not be where i am today. So a big thank you goes out to not only my parents but all the parents out there that have stood behind their kids as they pursue their dream. Thanks to my number one sponsors, mom and dad.
